Sadly, many immersed in it do not even realize their presuppositions. The teacher at the time was a calvary chapel assistant pastor, who I felt was more credible with doctrine than the rest of cc head pastors elsewhere. I thank the Lord for allowing me to see these posts cause I know that I sometimes see this local church Preaching and no teaching and that is not really nice of me. The final issue is that the CC lifestyle promoted a loose living style of Christianity. Again, this is not readily taught at Calvary Chapel. I have listened to the CC Network a few times, and I have heard some very strange doctrine. All the glory still goes to God. The CC we attended was full of jokes and was also full of Bible teaching. I also understand what you mean when you tell the CCers that you would have answered the same thing as they did five years ago. I am not disappointed in God because of man. We are all sinners that are saved by grace. And when one reads into Johns epistles the concept that one who sins is apparently suddenly not saved.
